To make the Catch experience possible, we collect the following data:

  • Location Data: Catch requires continuous access to your device’s location to show you nearby "baits" and allow you to interact with your physical surroundings. The app will not function without location access.
  • Camera and Media: We collect images you take using the in-app camera or upload from your camera roll.
  • Account Data: Name, age (to verify 18+ status), email address, and profile details.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with baits, ads, and other users.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • App Functionality: To display baits on the map and facilitate user connections.
  • Safety and Security: To enforce our 18+ age limit and Community Guidelines.
  • Advertising: To show you personalized advertisements within the app.

3. Sharing and Selling Your Data (Third Parties)

To keep Catch running and free to use, we monetize user data. With your explicit consent, we may:

  • Share your data (including location patterns, demographic data, and app usage) with third-party advertising networks to serve targeted ads.

Note: Under GDPR, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal data at any time via the Privacy Settings in the app.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will purge your location data and photos from our active servers within 30 days, unless legally required to retain them for a longer period.
